While we don't have a definitive solution to this problem, couldn't we get
rid of the "readonly" attribute ? Enabling the user to input the date with
keyboard is a good practice of usability & accessibility...
We must remember that the focus here is not to show the Calendar widget,
but to input date information.
And if we allow/would allow to catwalk enter empty date, deleting the
content with keyboard is the easiest form.
I personally hate when a page forces me to use the mouse...
