i made a stdlib email wrapper that works with tg and plugs into the
template engine for rendering
http://dev.2xlp.com/svn/turbogears_extensions/turboemail/trunk/
it supports sending plain and multipart messages that are html w/plaintext
sendmail works , smtp *should* but is untested.
