Hi, AFAIK it is planned to replace identity eventually in order to loose the coupling between authentication and authorization. The DevPlans page [1] states that an AuthKit/TurboPeakSecurity combo may fit well.
Probably, I will start with a new in-house project using TurboGears. Therefore I'm interested in developing the new 'identity' layer. I'm looking for people who are interested in this topic also and have a clear vision how the API/implementation should look like. Interested lurkers: Don't expect to see a working implementation 'real soon'.
