just a note here, hg is also very similar, in fact the only command
(other than push/pull for obvious reasons) that is really different is
hg revert which doesn't do what you think it does.

yes indeed, in fact you can do this with mercurial too, it's build-in
convert tool is getting better with every release I have been doing
that for some time
