There probably aren't that many people using Turbogears 2.0 at this point on Python 2.4, so I think it's fine for those few users to make the changes that I described. However, I do think that it is important to support Python 2.4 in Turbogears 2.0 in general, as there are various Linux distributions that come with Python 2.4.
