I've just published a new version of the vagrant/virtualbox image. This is still based off of TurboGears 2.3.4. The new version includes PostgreSQL and MySQL baked into the image. Furthermore, when you set up a Vagrantfile in the same directory with your setup.py, it will run "python setup.py develop" as well as "gearbox setup-app" for you.
It's never been easier to get TurboGears up and running (it is slower, since you download more, but you can easily reset at any time). Furthermore, you can use the files in the github repository as a cookbook for your own image, allowing you to easily get other people started with your project. Right now, currently supports: Python 3, Ubuntu 14.10, TurboGears 2.3.4, MySQL, PostgreSQL.
