Can you send a copy of your master.kid? Since you say that this error keeps coming up, I'm beginning to think that something is amiss in the template.

OK, William's comments about comments in the templates have been vindicated.

"I'm just warning TG users that current version of Kid does not support html comments (<!-- blablabla -->) in kid files if you are using the extends functionality (py:extends and py:replace)."

I had one comment in my master.kid; I removed it, and now everything works great.
