Mike, Can you import other stuff from turbogears in the python shell? e.g. import turbogears.widgets or from turbogears import controllers?
If so, can you paste the output of ls in the turbogears/fastdata/templates directory? If not then something is seriously amiss and I would try starting from scratch with respect to your python and turbogears installs if that's possible. Lee
