That doesn't seems like a gentoo error, it seems like a connection error

Iav remeber gentoo is portage, you shouldn't install things without notifiing it about them
there is a project to integrate eggs into portage, i know the maintainer posted here ones.
http://eggs.gentooexperimental.org/

the project seems a little down.... :(

A link on how to install the eggs

I was running TG 0.9a1 on windows without problem, now I want to move

The system is a gentoo linux 2006.0 build for amd64.

With easy_install, I tried :
easy_install -f http://www.turbogears.org/preview/download/index.html
--script-dir /usr/local/bin TurboGears

and I keep getting this error :
---
