Myself and many others run tg on desktop OS X, the server version isn't really all that much different. What is causing issues? OS X ships with python 2.3 so that may cause some issues for you if you do not upgrade[1]. If you don't have root privs to upgrade python or install tg in python's site-packages, you will probably want create a personal install of python 2.4 and tg in your home directory similar to how people setup tg on shared hosting web servers[2].
