Widgets and things can always get uploaded to the cheeseshop.
don't you need some webspace to store the files?
A cookbook would be a good thing, and I'd recommend posting things
like that to the wiki now, and Docudo later. (Cookbook recipes are
inherently tied to a TG release, so Docudo's structure will help out
there.)
cookbooks are a nice thing for stuff like widgets but other things like small apps and extensions should have a more consistent release schedule.
