Thanks a lot for the excellant guidances.
Beginning a beginner, I am not being to figure out how to install the
patch (ticket #1041). Should I just copy and paste the code in
respective .py files and it would work? Or I need to install the
development version from svn? Or wait till an official version is
released, and work with the workaround? Pardon me if I am asking an
elementary question.
all the above are possible. it's a mather of taste.
copying the code is the ugliest but should work fine, unless those changes affect.
waiting for a new release of course is the less error phone but you have to wait.
doing a CO may get you other "features" that may have bugs.
I'll probably go with svn but that's me, if you really don't want any surprices I'll suggest appliying the patch.
