Thanks for that - everything works now. I'm using format="xhtml" and content_type="application/xhtml+xml" in my expose call now. There is a comment actually in MochiKit.js that the document.write() call breaks in xhtml - I should have spotted that. I'm just including the individual MochiKit files I need directly now.
