It sounds more like you have a version of glibc on the machine that isn't compatible with the version against which your pgsql library was compiled.  If this is the case, it's hard to know where to go from here without knowing a lot more about your system.
 
See if you can figure out which version of glibc you have installed on each machine, and see if that gets you anywhere...
