Ian Bicking confirmed this with Guido by email. That's the only writing from Guido himself that I'm aware of, but this is above the level of hearsay. "rule" is a bit strong, though. Tim made a good point about unittest and asyncore but, unlike those cases, Django is not going to be included with Python. As Ed pointed out, I commented on it already. I didn't bother bringing it up here, because I figured it was a non-issue for those of us already using TurboGears.
