I do something similar to this in the helloworldjsonrpc sample, the sample uses the dojo toolkit and downloads it and installs it into the local maven repo if it isn't there already. Have a look at samples/sca/helloworldjsonrpc/pom.xml and build.xml to see how it works.

Hi, How do we handle dependencies on artifacts that are not maintaiend in mvn repos. I have a requirement to use the 2.4.1 release for jxta, however, they don't maintain the artifacts in any repos. One option I thought was to download it as part of the build and install it to the local repo. I think we do something similar with sun jars for celtix.
