There's a lot of JIRA emails flooding the list right now for so just an fyi: If you use the bulk change function then on the last screen there's a tick box to say whether or not to send a notification email to the mailing list. For a lot of the tidying up thats going on its probably fine to not send the email, or depending on the changes maybe just summarize what you've done in a single email. Also bulk change doesn't have to be on lots of JIRAs it allows you to select individual ones.
