Ron Gavlin commented on TUSCANY-1812:
-------------------------------------

Makes sense.

I have made some headway on the BasicFeatureMap/BasicValidator refactoring.

However, I am struggling with how to make the SDOExtendedMetaDataImpl in the
XMLHandler available to invoker of
BasicExtendedMetaData.createEStructuralFeatureExtendedMetaDataImpl(). Line 1272
below currently triggers the createES...() invocation. Would it make sense to
modify extendedMetaData.getMixedFeature() (Line 1269 below) to aggressively
trigger the createEStructural...() invocation(s) since it has access to
extendedMetaData?

XMLHandler.processTopObject()

1269        EStructuralFeature target =
extendedMetaData.getMixedFeature(object.eClass());
        if (target != null)
        {
1272          FeatureMap otherFeatureMap = (FeatureMap)object.eGet(target);
