I assume you'vve checked the Python newsgroup? It should be busy enough for anyone! Of course the subject area is much more diverse... but you can join a mailing list variant I believe? And of course there are all the sig groups and the specialist mailing lists. Try looking through the other areas on the Community page of the web site...
