just a thought ... there must be some way of using OpenOffice to convert your ORIGINAL word documents into HTML files ... then as html is a very nice & structured language that you can manipulate & modify with ease just by adding some tags inside where you want or wish .... this is also only if you have some rich content like tables inside your documents ... if thats not your case, you can use OpenOffice tou extract just text ...
