I'm not surprised. It's very cluttered. Take the constant definitions out of the function. Take the internal function out of the function. Create a few more helper functions and then get rid of the "helpful comments" that only describe what a function should be doing (get triplets etc) Then there is a confusion of how you print stuff. The bigger multiples (thousand up) are defined in data but the hundreds are defined inline. And I never did find where zero got printed because it was all too confusing.
By the way, how large is Python's standard GUI input allowed to be, and can you expand it without resorting to tkinter?
