Part of this setup is using SQLAlchemy. : While I understand this is a python tutor list, would it be OK to : ask questions like 'how do I change my SQLAlchemy URL to include : a user name' here?
You could ask here about this (excellent) third-party library, but you will doubtless find a much richer pool of knowledge to draw from if you were to ask this question directly of the SQLAlchemy crowd [0]. There's a mailing list [1] or IRC [2]. I expect that you are calling sqlalchemy.engine.create_engine() at some point.
