Rafael, Yes you can absolutely do that. You can use the MySQL connector (https://dev.mysql.com/doc/connector-python/en/connector-python-introduction.html <https://dev.mysql.com/doc/connector-python/en/connector-python-example-connecting.html>) or use one of the following modules:
