Hello, one of our project is called Speech Dispatcher http://www.freebsoft.org/speechd. Speech Dispatcher works as a client/server and communicates trough TCP with python or java bindings. I think that it will be not so difficult to replace Acapela tts by speech dispatcher for Linux for now for someone who knows very well the TuxDroid API of course. This solution can bring more advantages:
- TuxDroid could use different TTS like Festival, Flite, Espeak etc - TuxDroid could speak in different languages and with different voices in the same time, see SSIP protocol of Speech Dispatcher If anyone finds time for it we would like to help him regarding Speech Dispatcher know-how.
