Tokyo Broadcasting System says that the net's summer hit game show is a bold-faced ripoff of their series "Takeshi's Castle" (in a zanily redubbed version called "MXC" or "Most Extreme Elimination Challenge" on Spike) and "Sasuke" (more conventionally redubbed on G4 as "Ninja Warrior")--they're suing ABC but not production company Endemol USA or showrunner/creator Matt Kurnitz--for now (even though Endemol holds the copyright on the series):

(ABC and producer Vin DiBona also licensed a nature game show format from Tokyo and Americanized it into the Saturday morning "Animal Crack-Ups" before "AFV.") --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ Like TV only smarter.
