Avoid the fourth season

I suppose I'm just grateful whenever the show drifts away from the
boring procedural aspects and focuses more on characters and story.
Last night's medical mystery was practically an afterthought, as were
the B Team, and that's the way I like it.

What pained me about last season was that the producers would spend
three years developing solid and complex characters, only to shove
them to one side and replace them with stereotypes. It was why Foreman
quitting two years ago was sloppy... it is possible to hate one's boss
yet still enjoy one's job. Once the character realized that, he became
more complex and human, but a better creative team wouldn't have
wasted multiple episodes figuring that out.
