I swear to you, I think they actually retooled the series after I spoke to the guy. Regular watchers might recall the early "dates" infrequently ended in the bedroom or naked in a hot tub, while most dates ended with a kiss in the cheek or just plain badly. Following our conversation, the ratio went the other way. My mom, somewhat bitter at the time after she and my dad split, enjoyed the dates that ended badly. Those all but vanished and were replaced by gratuitous footage of naked people. In the end, the producers got what they wanted and my mom stopped watching, but so did the rest of America as the series went off the air a year later. -- Kevin M.
