He was the station manager at fictional KTML ("The Missile") where the
writers had finally given the Kim Brown character a useful,
interesting job where she was a success... which all went away when
the writers bundled the kids off to parts unknown and the wives (and
one petulant daughter) off to Sunny California for this lame Aerodyne
Alliance plotline. Sure, they can stop pretending that southern
California looks anything like Missouri but the move west seems to
have made all of the wives, even Molly, about 40% dumber than in
previous seasons.
