Kevin Metheny, the radio lifer called "Pig Virus" repeatedly by Howard Stern in his Aunt Polly attempts to "sivilize" Stern's Huck Finn persona during Stern's early 80s afternoon drive stint at W-NNNN-BC in New York (fictionalized as "Pig Vomit" and played by Paul Giamatti in the film version of "Private Parts") is the new program director at Chicago's Tribune-owned old-school news-talker WGN Radio, punching bag of hip talk show hosts for decades:
http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/columnists/chi-wed_phil_rosenthal_17dec17,0,5683697.column Metheny comes from Cleveland's Clear Channel cluster, most notably the raucous "hot talk" station with the historic call letters WTAM--he's one of over 20 former Clear Channel or Jacor employees that Sam Zell and Randy Michaels have brought to the Trib in the last year (Jacor was owned by Zell and run by Michaels before Zell sold it to the Evil Empire) and may start up the rumors again that the class act WGN is going to get tarted up by Michaels, especially since 'GN has been losing listeners in the new personal people meter ratings to the red meat right-wing Citadel-owned WLS (Chicago home of comedian Rush Limbaugh and Insanity) and CBS' all-news WBBM-AM. ('GN may be one of the few news-talkers that doesn't carry any weekday syndicated shows save Paul Harvey, who, of course, is a news commentary program, not a talk show.)
