The Flickr photo linked in your message is from a Comcast subscriber in Bellevue WA; I suspect that the proximity to MS world HQ might have something to do with the availability of a small STB running a Microsoft OS.
As far as I'm aware, the only boxes available from my Comcast office in NJ are the Moto units they've carried for years.
