Funny. This week in religion class, I told my students about a sermon my pastor gave a while ago, wherein he noted that there is nothing in the Bible about cursing, swear words, profanity, etc. There is a commandment about not taking the Lord's name in vein, but nothing about George Carlin's seven words. For the benefit of parents in his congregation, my pastor was quick to point out the commandment about honoring thy mother and father, so if they don't want you to use certain words, it would be a sin to do so.
