I can only give the very early backstory, dating back to when Roger
Ailes tried to helm the "America's Talking" cable network without any
known personalities. Since then, he has operated on the principle that
big names will translate into big ratings. Imus is well known, as is
Stossel. Ailes obviously wants to prove the network can be viable, and
launching it with established names is his way of not repeating
history.

But, as CNBC has proven, the real hard hitters of the business
community can't wait the 12 minutes or however long the on-screen
stock ticker is delayed, so they don't watch. And most Americans find
the day-to-day Wall Street antics to be boring, so they won't watch.
Even basic news doesn't get watched unless it contains enough venom to
kill a herd of elephants. I just don't know how the folks at Fox
Business plan to maintain the high audience numbers advertisers crave,
unless they resort to the same sensationalistic, hate-filled tactics
as the news-less news channel.

"Coming up next, how President Obama is going to force you to buy
Disney stock. After that, a special report from our series 'Socialism
Run Amuck' about Democrats who want to take the profits from your
stock portfolio and spread the wealth to teenagers who will use it to
buy drugs and have abortions."
