my same question to the list in ~2006 resulted in Warner Bros. I think Kevin and others suggested it. The WB tour includes backlot, one or two active in-house studios, and not toooooo much walking.
We also got tickets from tvtickets.com for a sitcom or two and ended up walking through the Studio City lot for "Still Standing" -- Will and Grace was also shooting that night too. If you are into a hike in the daytime, I suggest going to Bronson Canyon to see the batcave, and hike up the fireroads and try to get near the hollywood sign. When you see people walking their dog with dark sunglasses, imagine that they are famous actors or writers or directors, or Kevin :-) BTW, it got dark before we got to the top and decided to take the shortcut (downhill slide) into Camp Hollywood. Note, the gate to Bronson Canyon is locked at some time (dusk?) so your car might get locked in like ours almost did. All this paragraph is free.
