I was being sarcastic in asking if King's program was popular in
Haiti.  I realize that many Haitians don't even have homes or
electricity, let alone cable tv.

But a serious question then... are Haitians living abroad able to
vote?  I know it varies from country to country - the US allows it,
here in Canada, you have to live here to vote here (yes, Canadian
citizens living abroad are not allowed to vote in Canadian elections -
with the exception of soldiers and diplomats).

I guess the reason for posting this article was that if someone were
to announce they were running for office in Canada on an American
program, I would be livid.  It would pretty much guarantee that they
wouldn't get my vote - I'd take it as an insult.  So the idea of
announcing your run for office in one country on a show in another
country just seems disrespectful.
