Then that's why I didn't recognize her.
Interesting little ratings tidbit (and a little worrisome)--a thing
that Berman ran last week showing rankings for summer original cable
series had in the 12+ category six scripted series in the Top 10
("Closer" at the top and the other five USA series "Burn Notice,"
"Royal Pains," "White Collar," "In Plain Sight" and "Psych"). When
broken down to the 18-49 money demo, only two scripted series were in
the Top 10 ("Burn Notice" and "Royal Pains") and the number one show
in the demo was--"Jersey Shore." I'm scared that cable is gong to
interpret this as more cheap reality next summer, which will make them
exactly like the broadcast networks. This is disheartening,
especially since MTV is starting to get back into scripted programming
and I was hoping that this would inspire more cable channels to jump
in (and I mean you, Lauren Z--let's have "Comedy by Bravo" or "Drama
by Bravo"--and not "House" or "CI" reruns).
