Thanks. I depart LAX Monday afternoon. From there it is 10.5 hours to Heathrow, where I'll have a 10 hour layover. Then another 12 or 13 hour flight to Almaty, followed by a 3.5 hour layover. Finally, one more short (by comparison) 2.5 hour plane ride to Astana. I don't yet know whether I'll be making the last leg of the journey (from Astana to Karaganda) by car or train, but I should be at my new home in Central Asia by Wednesday evening. Thanks to everyone in the group for all their support. To the best of my knowledge, the only mainstream websites blocked by the Kazakh government are blogs found on Blogspot/Blogger, so I should still be around. And I had my nephew in Japan test the website Fancast.com and it collects available videos from Hulu and other sites and seems to allow playback worldwide, so I should be able to keep watching "House," "Justified," and the one or two other shows I enjoy in prime time. Lastly, I just correctly answered a trivia question about Kevin Pollak's Chat Show on his Facebook fan page, so I should get a shout-out on this afternoon's installment, as well as the KPCS iPod app. -- Kevin M.
