If TLC is the "traditional heartland values" channel, does that make Discovery the liberal equivalent? Even the most blue collar of their shows are based on the west coast (Deadliest Catch is filmed in Alaska; Dirty Jobs was based on a segment Mike Rowe did for a San Francisco TV station and did a ton of segments in the Bay Area early on.) Not to mention that one show they have where either two men with odd facial hair or the triad of two guys and a woman go around San Francisco using that science stuff to disprove things that everyone knows are true. -- David J.
