Detroit is a city with an economy so poor they reduced the geographic size of the city so they wouldn't count how many abandoned homes and businesses it actually has. There are programs in place where they will actually give you a home in Detroit if you agree to live there for a set period of time. And yet its residents raised $56,000 towards the construction of a statue of Robocop.
