I have come down hard on Smith the last year or so, ever since he took to pot and stopped being as lucid as he once was. He had a great gift for words, which is different than simply being able to talk at length. I recently rewatched a few of his early movies and the dialogue was exceptionally crafted. Many of his early podcasts were also well done and funny (a good d*ck and fart joke will make me laugh). But now... well... I caught the last Smodcastle show... and more than half of it was a baked guy crying. Even other baked guys can't find that entertaining, right? Be emotional, sure, but also be professional.
