I am loving "Pan Am". I'm a sucker for New Frontier-era drama, admittedly, but the writing has been crisp, the characters compelling, and the the production superb. (Margot Robbie in a series of skimpy outfits is purely a bonus.) I even enjoy the way they've been working historical events into the storylines. However.... Last week on "Pan Am" we got to see Kennedy's "ich bin ein Berliner" speech of June 26, 1963, (they even put the date on the screen) and this week we see the launch of Mercury-Atlas 9 on May 15, 1963. And these episodes were quite clearly intended to air in this order. I know the writers were stuck. If they wanted to show a manned U.S. spaceflight then Mercury-Atlas 9, the sixth and final Mercury mission, was the last chance until Project Gemini gets rolling with Grissom and Young flying Gemini III on March 23, 1965. But it's still quite annoying. -- Ed Dravecky III http://www.fencon.org/ -- TV or Not TV .... The Smartest (TV) People!
