I downloaded the Bond special before the hurricane (but didn't get it transcoded in time before I lost power), so it's a few weeks old across the pond. As for the fact that it's just Hamster & Slow - it could have just been a scheduling issue, since Jezza has a number of other commitments and TG is between series at the moment.
IIRC, the Winter Olympics special (famous for the rocket-powered Mini ski-jump) was just Clarkson & May for about 60% of the show; Jezza made a point of reminding the audience that Hammond was back in the UK, hosting daytime television and getting his teeth whitened.
