One of them was while he was doing Quincy; in addition to the orphan drug shows they did several issue advocacy episodes, and they did one in conjunction with a non-profit my mother started, highlighting their issue. Those issue episodes did not often make for golden television drama, as they usually came off as the glorified after school specials that they were, but they effective in getting a lot of focused attention on worthy issues, and I know my mom always appreciated it. -- TV or Not TV ....
