Not sure if it was an actual story, or if it only existed as a concept, but I 
remember reading once (pre-2004) a plot summary of a short story that involved 
the Cubs and the Red Sox playing in Game 7 of the World Series at Wrigley 
Field, bottom of the 9th, score tied, a Cubs batter hits a long fly ball to 
deep center field, everyone's watching it as it goes back, back, back...

...and that's when the bombs go off.
