Rumors have been afoot for some time that the Sony Pictures Entertainment division, which includes the television division that produces "Happy Endings," "Community," "Wheel of Fortune" and "Jeopardy!", among other shows, and owns half of GSN, was up for sale (CBS was even rumored to be kicking the tires on Sony)--now the manager of the Third Point hedge fund that owns enough of Sony stock to have an influence in the company has called for the corporation to spin off or sell a stake of its entertainment divisions (including the music division it owns with Bertlesmann) to sharpen the focus on electronics and (natch) increase profits:
