In seasons prior, CBS has used the production company logos to separate program
content from credits when there's no final internal break. For whatever
reason, they've bumped the production company logos to after credits starting
this season. I suspect someone there figured it would be jarring to go
straight from program content to the promo and credits, so they decided to add
the "Next week on" bit. It's definitely not working.
