As a longtime fan of "Homicide: Life on the Street," I liked the sendoff the people at "Law & Order SVU" gave to the character of John Munch. Not only did Clark "Meldrick Lewis" Johnson cameo in the episode, but there were moments from the Fontana/Levinson series woven into the character's finale. Not only did viewers hear Munch pick up the phone and say "homicide" one last time, but he left the show the same way Detective Tim Bayliss entered the Baltimore squad room, simply carrying a box full of personal effects from his desk.
