Good point. And the problem is that while in 1976, "Mad as hell..." might have seemed shocking, in an age where until relatively recently someone like Glen Beck had a show, it's probably impossible to mock reality. We're more than "twenty minutes into the future" as the original Max Headroom pilot had it.
