I am a contributor to the online radio aircheck site
ReelRadio<http://www.reelradio.com>.
And this morning that site "broke format" to pay tribute to J.J. Jackson,
best known as "the black VJ" during MTV's first five years. He passed away
ten years ago tomorrow, and to mark that sad anniversary, ReelRadio has
digitized my copy of the aircheck of the last two hours of alternative
album rocker KEDG "The Edge" from 1989, which J.J. was program director of
(and which he considered to be the pinnacle of his radio work).

This is the first time ReelRadio has featured an aircheck of an album rock
station; it concentrates on classic top-40 stations and DJs, but the
curator and I felt honoring the late Mr. Jackson was worth making the
exception.

Hoping a few of you will be inclined to check it out. ReelRadio is a
non-profit site, so this is by no means a commercial plug.
