Sorry I'm late on this.

Beadle, I think, got a free pass on her Twitter posts for two reasons: (a)
they were four very powerful tweets, and (b) had ESPN suspended her and not
SAS, it would've made the NFL look like the most sensitive group on the
planet.

Here, in a nutshell, is ESPN at this moment: it's the only thing that's
making Disney profitable. So anything that can be remotely considered
profitable is safe. First Take is a money-making show. As long as it keeps
making money, they're not touching anyone related to it.

KO didn't touch it mostly because he has much safer targets to go after
(and would very clearly not be protected had he taken a shot at them, given
his past history).

Deadspin wrote an outstanding piece a year-and-a-half ago about FT and how
it single-handedly changed ESPN in a very bad way. It's worth reading
because it explains a lot about their behavior regarding SAS.
