I include the links to the iTunes Store in my Quickie Reviews because that's where I tend to discover new shows. If a show is good I'll seek out which online means of distribution it uses (typically the network's website or Hulu). If it is really to my liking (i.e. Top Gear) it gets purchased on iTunes. I did borrow a friend's Netflix for Arrested Development, the first season of the US House of Cards, and Sense8. I'll watch BBC news via LiveNation, local news via their respective apps or websites, and I buy the Le Tour de France app every year. Having converted all my DVDs and VHS onto a single external drive, I have access to nearly all the classic shows (and obscure shows) I'd like (though if anybody has season two of the CBS CIA drama "The Agency," please contact me... I was in the Peace Corps at the time and I really liked season one). I rarely go to movies (maybe one or two a year). My media budget is about as inexpensive as you're likely to find. I don't live near Mt Wilson (if I did I'd practically live at Griffith Park whenever I wasn't working or eating Italian at Palermo's) but it sounds like K.M. has found a balance with an old antenna.
